| More details about Along the Way
He did not appear to get up each morning with an extensive and detailed ‘to do’ list. Rather, the whole of Jesus’ life was focused on being at God’s disposal, ready to make God known, often in the very ordinary situations of daily life, by what he said, what he did and how he cared for people.
That is the example that we want to follow - to look more like Jesus. That’s our job as the church, the body of Christ - to be the Jesus that the world can see and hear and touch. To be about the things that were important to him. To live our lives without artificial divisions between what is spiritual and what is not, instead seeing the whole of our day, our work, our relationships as our mission field - the place where God has put us to know him more and to make him known. To love the world right around us as He would love the world. |
