For more information about the class, go to www.themarriagecourseusa.org. The sessions last from 6:00-8:30 p.m. and will be held at the Activities Center. Child care will be available.
We train for athletic events... we prepare for the birth of a child...we study to excel in school and pass our exams, so why should we think that the marriage relationship can develop and strengthen without intentionality? Beginning in March, couples in our church will have the opportunity to devote time to creating a strong, loving and lifelong relationship by engaging in “The Marriage Course.”
“The Marriage Course” is a seven-week marriage enrichment program. The course is for couples who have been together for just a short period of time …or a “lifetime.” It is based on Christian principles and gives couples practical tools and advice to enrich their relationship.
The seven sessions will help you: * Understand each other’s needs * Communicate more effectively * Grow closer through resolving conflict * Heal the ways you’ve hurt each other * Recognize how your upbringing affects your relationship * Improve relationships with parents and in-laws * Develop greater intimacy * Discover each other’s “love languages” and more
Each week, the evening begins with dinner at tables for two. The teaching is DVD-based, with breaks for discussion of questions between the husband and wife. During these discussion times, soft music is played so conversations cannot be heard between tables. There is no group discussion.
This practical, biblical teaching on issues related to building a stronger, healthier marriage allows you to explore as a couple ways to creatively focus on your relationship.
