Opportunities for Involvement

It takes many ladies willing to use their gifts to achieve our purpose, and there are many opportunities for service in this ministry as a leader and as a follower, to serve or be served.  Prayerfully consider the chances for involvement, which consist of:

* Women’s Events Team – publicizes upcoming conferences and events such as Women of Faith and locally sponsored events.

* The Retreat Team – plans times for spiritual renewal and fellowship.

* Small Groups – consist of 5-15 ladies per group.  Some of the groups are prayer groups and some are Bible study groups.  There are morning and evening groups.  This is the place to become spiritually close with other FBC ladies as you explore God’s word in study and prayer.

* Publicity – submits information concerning upcoming Women’s Ministry events to the Kingdom News, the church newsletter.  If your gift is photography or writing, you may find your place of service in this area.

* Ladies Luncheons are one of the functions which so many women look forward to.  These luncheons are an opportunity to hear guest speakers and enjoy fellowship.

* College Ministry – involves preparing small care packages for our men and women college students to let them know that we are thinking of them and praying for them.  Willing hands purchase and package items and prepare Bible verses or other inspiration to include in the package mailing.

* New Member Team – participants write notes of welcome to ladies who have just joined FBC.

Please call Gaye Thomas at 791-2943 or email at jthomas14@ec.rr.com to receive more information about these exciting opportunities
