Mission Trips 2010

Looking Ahead to 2010!

In 2009, folks from FBC Wilmington served as the "hands and feet" of Christ on mission to Puerto Rico and on two trips to Guatemala.

Preliminary plans for 2010 include more trips to Guatemala and several "in country" mission trips to help out folks right here in the USA.

Be on the lookout for informational brochures coming soon.  If you have questions about any of our trips coming up, please contact Don Slawter (dslawter@fbcwilmington.org) or at 763-2471.

Thank you in advance for your support and prayers for these mission trips!

Updates from the 2009 Chile Mission Team

"We are doing well, with plenty of sunshine and lots of fresh tomatoes, cantalopes, watermelon, peaches, and raspberry meringue torte.

We had VBS yesterday in two different areas and will continue the rest of the week through Saturday.  The church building is advancing rapidly and it is exciting to see it go up every day.  Please pray for our safety as we travel on buses and in taxis for an hour every day.  Thanks for praying for us." -- Clara Huff

Update from January 18:
"Please let everyone there know that we are doing well and have had a great experience sharing God´s love and message.  The church building had first floor walls put up on the first day and we are progressing to the second floor.  Please continue to pray for us.  There are many needs here and we wish we could do more.  We will have much more to tell when we get back.  The country is beatiful and we love meeting the people."
In Christ's Name -- David, Ann and Clara

Through January 25, Clara Huff and others are on a mission trip to Temuco, Chile, with our brothers and sisters from FBC-Greensboro.  They are helping build Sunday School rooms for a small church in Cunco, a town near the border of Chile with Argentina.  They are also doing evangelism with women using crafts, sewing clothes for girls at the Baptist Home for Girls in Temuco, and conducting Vacation Bible School.  Please remember their efforts in your prayers!
