WORSHIP
Children with special needs who are unable to participate in worship in the Sanctuary are invited to participate in our special needs worship class during the 11:00 am service. This time of learning and crafts is led by loving volunteers. It offers developmentally appropriate activities for the children and a time of respite for parents, allowing them to attend worship together.

Wheelchair access to the Sanctuary is available from the Education Building. You can enter the Education Building on 5th Street and take the elevator to the second floor. You can also enter the Connector Building from the parking lot and take the elevator to the second floor.

Those who need assistance with mobility, sight or hearing should speak with an usher. Large print bulletins and hearing devices are available for your use.

SUNDAY SCHOOL
Most of our children with special needs participate with typically developing children in our regular Sunday School program. For older children and young adults with special needs, we offer God’s Squad, a Sunday School class designed to meet their individual discipleship and fellowship needs.

SUPPORT GROUP
On the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm, a support group for parents with children with special needs meets at the Activities Center. These parents share a meal together and learn about resources available to them and their children. Most importantly, though, they support and encourage one another through the struggles and victories that only someone who has been there can understand.

PARKING
There are 14 spaces for handicap parking on Sunday mornings in the parking lot behind the church. Please display a handicap parking tag when using one of these spaces.

ELEVATORS
Elevators are available in the Education Building and in the Connector Building for accessing the Sanctuary, Education Building classrooms and the church offices.

RESTROOMS
Handicap accessible restrooms are located on both levels of the Connector Building and in the Bride’s Room, just outside of the Sanctuary.

It is our sincere desire to meet the special needs of members and visitors. If you have an access question or concern, please feel free to contact us at 763-2471 or firstbaptist@fbcwilmington.org.
