Joint Worship Service with First Missionary Baptist Church, New Beginnings Christian Fellowship and the Love Center--Join us for a combined worship service on Sunday, May 18, as we host First Missionary Baptist Church, New Beginnings Christian Fellowship and the Love Center for a time of praise and worship beginning at 6 p.m. in our sanctuary. After the service, we will host an ice-cream and dessert fellowship on the patio. Please make plans to be a part of this inspiring time of worship and celebration. FBC members are encouraged to bring a churn of homemade ice cream or a favorite dessert to share.

Faithfully Fit at First--These classes are a combination of stretching, toning, step and core exercises, and are offered in a format that people of all abilities will be able to work at their own level. Each class will include time to share prayer requests and a group devotional. Cost is $2 per class. Classes are held at the Activities Center and are available on Mondays & Tuesdays from 9:15-10:30 a.m. and Mondays & Thursdays from 6:15-7:30 p.m. Come get faithfully fit!

Stepping Up Study Beginning--Join other women for this new study from Beth Moore on the Psalms of ascent. Child care provided. Books are available at the Mustard Seed. To sign up, call Renee Griffin.

Pastor's Gathering--Our next Pastor's Gathering is May 18 at 3:30 p.m. at the Activities Center. If you are new to FBC, get to know more about our church and allow us to become better acquainted with you during one of our monthly Pastor's Gatherings. Music & Theatre Camp auditions for solos and speaking roles-Our Music and Theatre Camp is planned for July 14-18 for children who have completed grades 2-6. During this exciting week, we will sing, dance, act and make props, scenery and costumes. On Friday evening, we will present "Faith Hall of Fame," a short musical about Moses, Miriam, Joseph, David and Esther. Auditions for characters, speaking roles and solos will be held Wednesday, May 14, from 5:15-6:30 p.m. at the Activities Center. For more information, contact Ginger Wilson.

FBC Blood Drive-FBC is hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive on Tuesday, May 20, from 2:30-7:00 p.m. at the Activities Center. You can sign up to donate by calling the Activities Center at 799-7564. Please give the gift of life!

Ministry Opportunities

Are we really ready to be the church? Where does God want to use you to nurture others or reach the world for Him? Consider one of these ministry opportunities:

Can you make coffee and greet people? Then we need you at Common Grounds on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. We'll even "train" you on how to make the coffee! Contact Jayne Davis at 763-2471 or jdavis@fbcwilmington.org if you can volunteer your time.

The beautiful, busy Activities Center is in need of volunteers to man the front desk on Friday nights (6-9 p.m.) and Saturdays (9 a.m.-6 p.m.--3-hour time slots). This home mission opportunity requires two to three hours of your time once a month to answere the phone, etc. Call Margaret Johnson at 799-7564 or email mjohnson@fbcwilmington.org.

FBC members who feed the homeless on Tuesday nights would like to be able to give out tobaggans and gloves (they have plenty of coats and blankets) to those they feed. They also encourage SS classes to get involved in this worthwhile ministry by sponsoring a Tuesday night and experiencing the joy of serving. Contact Twig Rollins.

The Mustard Seed Bookstore Team needs daytime volunteers. We need substitutes available to cover an occasional 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. or 2:30-5:30 p.m. shift Monday--Thursday .Prayerfully consider giving your time to this exciting new ministry. Contact Jayne Davis, jdavis@fbcwilmington.org.
