| It’s not about us, it’s about God.
That was a major discovery during our recent 40 Days of Purpose
campaign. The most important reason for our gathering as a community
of believers is to worship God.
We like to say that our worship style is “authentically First
Baptist” – a blended, traditional worship that honors
the past, lives in the present, and embraces the future. Our style
has evolved as our congregation has evolved and so it is uniquely
ours. You will just have to experience it for yourself, any Sunday
at 8:45 a.m. or 11:00 a.m!
Looking to the Future – The Worship Purpose Team
The greatest challenge facing our Worship Purpose Team as we conduct
our strategic planning for 2004-2006 is the designing of a third
worship service to accommodate our continuing growth in worship
attendance which hit an all time high of 1700+ in three services
on Easter Sunday this year.
Pray for our Worship Purpose Team as they sort through the issues
of time, style and place for this third worship service.
Worship on the FBC Website
The Worship section of our website contains a variety of information
about worship at First Baptist including our worship
schedule and the sermon text and title for the week, archived
sermons, and information
about baptism, communion,
parent/child dedication,
and child care during
worship, including care for children with special
needs. It also contains information on how to become
a member of First Baptist Church.
In other areas of the website you can find out about a class for
children called, Preparing
for Worship, search for upcoming worship events on our Worship
Calendar, or find a place to use your gifts in worship on
our Music &
Worship Ministries page.

Purpose Team, contact Kurt Wachtel, Minister of Music, at 763-2471
