There is so much to celebrate during the Christmas Season.
We invite you to discover something new at First Baptist. There is something for everyone!

Advent Sermon Series:
The Songs of Christmas

One of the most-sung Christmas hymns of our time is O Come All Ye Faithful. It showcases the sacred need for worship. It says for us to “sing in exultation” and to “come,” “behold,” and “adore” Christ the Lord. To do as the song says, we must gather to worship.

So this Christmas, come worship with us. In doing so, we will experience something even deeper than the rhythmic energy we feel from holiday hits.

  • Nov. 27 | Hope Candle – Mary’s Song
  • Dec. 4 | Peace Candle – Zechariah’s Song
  • Dec. 11 | Love Candle – Simeon’s Song
  • Dec. 18 | Joy Candle – The Angels & Shepherds Sing
  • Dec. 24 | Christ Candle – The Songs of Christmas
  • Dec. 25 | Traditional – “Is There Room in Your Inn?”
  • Jan. 1 | Modern – Christmas Carols (Jim Baldwin)

Blue Christmas Service
Dec. 21 at 7PM

Christmas is not always the most wonderful time of year. For some of us, we have deep grief and empty chairs that remind us of who is not home for the holidays. If this is you, or you know someone struggling this year, then the Blue Christmas Service is designed with you (or that person) in mind. During this hour of worship, we will lament, pray, light candles, share memories, and offer words of hope for all of us who grieve. It’s the one dedicated space that honors the pain that some of us carry but also are able offer that pain over to God.
