In February and March, we will collect a special offering benefitting the good work of our Tuesday Night Feeding Ministry.
This ministry started with a small group of teenage boys desiring to put what they were learning about Jesus to action by making a few peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to pass out to the hungry and homeless in our community. It was the birth of our Tuesday Night Feeding Ministry. Every Tuesday night for 15 years, volunteers show up downtown to joyfully prepare and serve a warm meal to hungry and homeless men, women and children in our community. Not only do we strive to meet the physical needs with a hot meal and fresh clothing when needed, but more importantly we strive to meet spiritual and emotional needs by building relationships and sharing the love of Jesus to every soul who comes our way.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.”Matthew 25.35-36
