Our desire is to teach and train the hearts of our students to love God, and to love others as they see opportunities to be the very presence of Jesus at home, school and at play!  We are passionate about helping students to grow in their faith through relationships – with God, caring adults, and with their peers.

Our Student Ministry (6th-12th grade) offers a variety of opportunities each week for students in middle and high school to become involved and get connected. We have food, hang time, great worship, and strong messages about real-life issues.

We want to help students discover the unique gifts and opportunities that God has given them for loving and serving the world in Jesus’ name.

STUDENT LEADERSHIP COUNCIL

Sundays

Worship – 9:00 am or 11:00 am  |  FBC Downtown
Let’s worship God together at either 9:00 (Modern) or 11:00 (Traditional) in the sanctuary downtown!

Sunday School – 10:00 am  |  FBC Downtown
On Sunday mornings we have two Bible study groups, middle school and high school. Students are encouraged and challenged as they navigate the journey of being teenagers and followers of Jesus Christ.

Youth Group – 5:30 – 7:30 pm  |  FBC Activities Center
Sunday nights we meet in The Cove for a snack supper, fun games, worship led by our Youth Band and Bible study. Come and hang out with friends (or meet new ones) as together we learn how to love God more and to love others better.

Youth Group is the place to be!

“The First Baptist Youth program and leadership have been transformative in the lives of our children and their walk with Christ. Based on their exposure to God’s mission, we have witnessed growth in their lives from believers in Jesus Christ to His disciples, putting faith into action.” David

Special Events & Missions

We have fun …
There are so many fun opportunities throughout the year to get plugged in! Activities for middle school and high school separately, and also combined fun as a large group. A few highlights during the year are DNOW Fall retreat, recreation fun, mission projects, concerts, movie nights, retreats, mission trips, and Edge of Adventure; gatherings designed especially for graduating seniors to help them prepare for life after high school.

We serve …
Being called to model Jesus’ example to SERVE others, all youth are invited on Tuesdays at 6 pm for our Feeding the Hungry Ministry downtown. Students can join the Student Leadership Team, or share their gift of music in the Youth Band.

We believe our mission field is not only the special mission trips during the year, but perhaps more importantly, we are called to show the love of Jesus and help others in the classroom, on the sports field and when hanging out with friends.
