Maundy Thursday Meal
On Maundy Thursday, March 27th, we will gather together as a church family at the Activity Center for a simple meal of soups and bread. We will remember the events of that night when Jesus gathered around the table with his disciples before his arrest and crucifixion.

ABOUT
Maundy Thursday is traditionally the day of Holy Week when the church remembers that first communion meal Jesus shared with his disciples in the Upper Room. The word maundy comes from the Latin mandatum meaning “to command.” It refers to the words of Jesus: “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another” (John 13:34). It also can refer to the words of Jesus as he instituted that first Lord’s Supper: “This do in remembrance of me” (I Corinthians 11:24).
On Maundy Thursday, March 27th, we will gather together as a church family at the Activity Center for a simple meal of soups and bread. We will remember the events of that night when Jesus gathered around the table with his disciples before his arrest and crucifixion. Our children’s choir will lead us in songs of worship, and we will share communion with one another.
We will gather from 6:00-7:30pm. There is no charge for the meal, and you do not need to bring any food with you. We hope for this to be a family-friendly event. Nursery care will be provided for infants and toddlers for those who need it.
