Education
Graduated from Wake Forest University (Winston-Salem, NC) with a Bachelor of Business Administration/Marketing (1968); Southeastern Seminary (Wake Forest, NC) with Master of Divinity (1981) and Doctor of Ministry (1986).
About Me
A native of Wayne, WV, Mike was General Manager of Tradewell Supermarkets in Huntington, WV (1968-78). He served as Associate Pastor of First Baptist, Greensboro, NC (1981-86), and as Pastor of First Baptist, Wilmington, NC (1986-2011). In retirement, he worked as a congregational consultant with the Center for Healthy Churches and served as interim pastor in four congregations. He and Bobbie have been married for 55 years.

About Me
Jim was a member of our pastoral staff from 1990 - 2025. He served as the Associate Pastor of First Baptist in Drexel, NC prior to joining the FBC-Wilmington team. He and his wife Lisa recently celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary. They are parents to two adult children and five grandchildren that all live in Wilmington. Jim and Lisa enjoy spending time with their family, traveling together, and supporting UNCW athletics.
