Graduated from Wake Forest University (Winston-Salem, NC) with a Bachelor of Business Administration/Marketing (1968); Southeastern Seminary (Wake Forest, NC) with Master of Divinity (1981) and Doctor of Ministry (1986).
About Me
A native of Wayne, WV, Mike was General Manager of Tradewell Supermarkets in Huntington, WV (1968-78). He served as Associate Pastor of First Baptist, Greensboro, NC (1981-86), and as Pastor of First Baptist, Wilmington, NC (1986-2011). In retirement, he worked as a congregational consultant with the Center for Healthy Churches and served as interim pastor in four congregations. He and Bobbie have been married for 55 years.

Graduated from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, Pembroke, NC, Bachelor's degree 1981; Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Wake Forrest, NC, Masters of Divinity 1984; Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond, Richmond, Virginia, Doctorate of Ministry 2004.
About Me
Jim, a native of Fayetteville, North Carolina, served as the Associate Pastor of First Baptist in Drexel, NC, prior to joining the ministry team of First Baptist Church Wilmington in 1990. In 2008, Jim authored A Heritage of Hope: A History of First Baptist Church, 1808-2008. Jim retired as Associate Pastor in 2025. He and his wife, Lisa, have been married for 41 years. They are the parents of two adult children and have five grandchildren, all of whom live in Wilmington. Jim and Lisa enjoy spending time with their family, traveling together, and supporting UNCW athletics. They remain active members of First Baptist, where Jim teaches Sunday School classes as needed, and Lisa serves as a Deacon.
