LOCAL
Tuesday Night
Ministries
We serve 2 meals to those in our community on Tuesday Nights. 1 is located inside the Fellowship Hall at the church (411 Market St) and another at the corner of 5th and Greenfield (we refer to that one as "2nd Stop"). Both those meals start at 7pm.
Volunteerss start showing up to help cook and prep as early as 3pm but the majority of volunteers arrive around 6:30pm. For New Volunteers 6:30pm would be the time to arrive.
The Shower Ministry begins setting around 4pm on Tuesdays in our parking lot. We need about 5 or 6 volunteers each Tuesday to help organize the order of those taking showers, ensure everything is running properly, and to pack bags of new t-shirts, underwear, and socks for those showering. If that is something you'd be interested in, the other volunteers would be happy to have you! The shower trailer typically wraps up around 7pm.
The Clothes Closet (separate from the clothes given out at the Shower Ministry) begins distributing clothes around dinner time.

NATIONAL
CBF Partners
We have partnered with Missionaries around the country through our connection with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF). In 2022 our students traveled to Corbin, Kentucky and worked at the Baptist Housing facility, a 64 unit living facility for elderly and mobility-impaired adults.

In 2023, we partnered with Forest Hills Baptist Church and CBF’s very own Welcome House ministry to do what we called a “Tour de Welcome House.” Our teams got to hear from local Raleigh churches about what goes into creating a ‘Welcome House’ and the process that refugee families go through while adjusting to life in the States.

This will be our 20th year of partnering with Grace Ministries in Guatemala to Build Houses, Distribute Food, Lead Vacation Bible School and experience the love of Christ with our friends in Guatemala. FBC is a part of the South Africa Network. We have made a commitment to several ministry partners in South Africa – to support the work they are doing, to provide resources as we can, and to go to South Africa and encourage them with whatever labor and words of affirmation are needed.

Minister of Missional Engagement
Before joining the FBC Staff in January of 2023, I served as the Minister of Students at Trinity Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC. In 2014, I graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in International Studies and a minor in Non-profit Studies. In 2018, I graduated from Campbell University Divinity School with a Master of Divinity degree.
