2026 Proposed Budget & Deacon Nomination Report

A regular business meeting will be held on December 7 at 10:00 a.m. in the FBC Sanctuary for the purpose of receiving reports from the Nominating Committee and the Deacon Election team. We will also vote on the recommendation of the Financial Management Committee, Leadership Council, and Deacons to approve the 2026 budget.

Standing Rules for Business Meeting:

  • Members will approach a microphone if they desire to speak. If a member is unable to walk to a microphone, they may raise their hand and an attendant will bring a microphone to them.

  • Members will provide the purpose for which they desire to speak to the microphone attendant. Example: To speak in favor of motion, speak against motion, question, to nominate, etc.

  • After recognition by the Chair, the member shall give their name and shall address all questions and remarks through the Chair.

  • Each member will be allowed to speak in debate for up to 2 minutes, twice on each motion. 

  • Members will not be recognized to speak the second time until everyone who wishes to speak for the first time has spoken.

  • Members will practice decorum and refrain from any outward sign of agreement or disagreement with a speaker's remarks including applauding.
