Why do we give?

We believe that God is the generous giver of all things and we should be good stewards of that generosity through the giving of our time, talents and resources.

God desires our complete trust but this can be especially difficult when it comes to our money and possessions. Instead of trusting, we tend to hold on tightly to these things, which reflects that our trust lies in ourselves and not completely in God.

Learning to give frees us from greed and self-sufficiency, giving us a chance to experience God’s faithfulness in a very real way.

1 Timothy 6:18-19
Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way, they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.

What is a tithe?

Simply, a “tithe” means a tenth part. Giving a tenth of your income to God’s work before you do anything else – what the Bible refers to as first fruits – is an important way to exercise your trust in God’s provision.

Even if you feel you can’t give 10% right away, you are encouraged to take a step in trusting God by setting another percentage (from 1-9%) that you give each month as first fruits.

We desire to make giving convenient and easy. You can give on Sundays during service, give online, or set up a one-time or recurring bank transfer.

As you give, let it be a joyful act of worship

“It is wonderful to be part of a church that is so deeply involved in ministries locally and around the world.  I enjoy the opportunities throughout the week to bond with other Christians who have become my friends and learn more about God’s word.” Catherine
