NURSERY SCHEDULE DROP OFF TIMES:

8:45 a.m. for the 9:00 a.m. worship service
9:45 a.m. for the 10:00 a.m. Sunday school hour
10:45 a.m. for the 11:00 a.m. worship service

PARENT NURSERY INFORMATION:
1. Children are to be signed in at the door. A nursery volunteer will greet your child and secure his/her belongings.
2. Parents are asked to knock on the door to pick up their child. You will sign your child out and the nursery worker will bring your child and his/her belongings to the door.
3. You are asked to express any questions or concerns you may have.
4. Each nursery room will be staffed with one nursery staff member and parent volunteers.
5. For the safety and security of all our children and infants, please knock.
6. Every item (bags, etc.) should have your child's name on it.

NURSERY ROOM USE POLICY
Our nursery is used on Sunday mornings, as well as for evening functions during the week. Each of these ministries have their own purposes; however, our goal of quality child care is the same. Each group that uses the nursery should do so responsibly. Care should always be taken to maintain a clean, safe environment for all the children in our care. Communication is essential amoung all persons using the nursery facility.

EXTENDED CARE
Extended Care adult volunteers are always welcome to nurture, care for and love the children; infants through four year olds during the Journey and Traditional worship services.

MISSION FRIENDS
Missions Friends is for children three years through Kindergarten. Children learn about missionaries who serve all over the world. Your child will learn that Jesus loves all of us and wants ust to pray for one another and help each other.

PRESCHOOL MUSIC ACTIVITIES
Preschool Music Activities are provided for children ages three to five. Each child is introduced to basic music concepts through songs and music activities. Your child will learn how to express themselves through traditional and contemporary faith-based songs.

MOTHERS' MORNING OUT
Mothers' Morning Out is a program that runs from September through May and is designed for children who ar one year old but not yet two years old. Registration is required.

MOPS-MOTHERS OF PRESCHOOLERS
MOPS-Mothers of Preschoolers is about celebrating motherhood, meeting needs, making connections and experiencing God's love through relationships and resources. MOPS International exists to meet the needs of every mom. MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy to kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs. MOPS meets at the First Baptist Church every first and third Tuesday of each month at 9:00 a.m. For information, contact Christy at cygigax@aol.com.

PARENT-CHILD DEDICATION
Parent-Child Dedication is normally held one Sunday each month. Dedicating your child to be raised in the church and a Christ-filled home is the purpose of this special celebration in which parents, child, family and congregation participate.

PREPARING FOR WORSHIP
Children age five and older are invited to participate in worship with their families. Extended care is not provided for this age group during the worship services. Preparing for Worship is a class designed to help rising kindergarteners and their parents make the transition from extended nursery care to worship. Helping our children learn to worship is one of the most important jobs of parenting. “Parenting in the Pew” is the textbook used for this class.

PRESCHOOL MOMS' PLAY GROUPS
These play groups meet in homes to provide support and a playtime for preschool children. For more information on this, please call Lorrie, or the church office.

SUMMER FUN DAYS
Summer Fun Days for preschoolers and elementary age children are filled with trips to the park, fire station, beach, Southport Ferry Ride and 4th of July parade at a local retirement home. CAMP CREATION
Camp Creation-two year old through rising Kindergarten. Jesus Loves Me...God Created the World and Me...I Should Love Others...are the themes for the three day camp geared especially for young children.
