It’s Time to Nominate Deacons for 2025!

Deacons of First Baptist are servant leaders whose responsibility is to build relationships with the people of our church and provide needed spiritual care. They should be trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality. At-Large Deacons will be asked to visit individuals in the hospitals, serve communion to homebound members, and make connections with persons who are not a member of a small group. They will be a vital link between the individuals they serve and the pastoral staff to ensure needs are known. Those nominated to serve as Deacon should be individuals who are engaged in the life of First Baptist Church in worship, discipleship, and missions and have a desire to build relationships throughout our church. Deacons are elected for a two-year term.


Guidelines for Online Form Completion

Each member of First Baptist may only complete one nomination form for At-Large Deacon. If you are completing this nomination form online you do not need to fill out a hard copy.

You will have until October 27 to submit the names of your nominees digitally, via the US Postal Service, placing your completed form in an offering plate, or by leaving them at the church office or Activity Center.

There is no limit to the number of names you may list, but we ask that you only submit ONE name per box. If you have more nominees than boxes allow, please use the final box, which will allow you to list more than one name. All deacon nominees must be members of First Baptist.


Instructions for filling out the Google Form


  1. Access the Google Form by using the button below.

  2. On the first page, there is a space to enter your email - this is required to proceed with the form.

  3. Enter your nominees in the boxes provided.

  4. Check the box acknowledging that the online form is in place of a paper form.

  5. Enter your first and last name to sign the form.

  6. Before you submit, there is a button giving you the option to receive a copy of your answers for your records.

  7. Be sure to hit the submit button. You should see a message confirming that your response has been submitted.


Additional Information

  • Please only submit one form (paper or digital).

  • If you would prefer to fill out a paper form, copies will be available at the entrances to the sanctuary and at the Activity Center.
