Walking the labyrinth is an ancient prayer practice that grounds us in our body and opens up our spirit. Typically, as you walk a labyrinth path, you journey inward, toward the center, letting go in prayer of whatever is weighing you down. When you reach the center of the labyrinth you rest with God for as long as you like before beginning the journey outward. As you journey from the center back out into the world, you receive in prayer whatever it is that God wants you to take with you.
For those occasions when you do not have access to a labyrinth path, it is possible to experience this prayer practice using a finger labyrinth. On July 2 and 21, Tracie Jernigan will teach a class on labyrinths and how to use them AND Linda Gurganus will lead the group in weaving your own finger labyrinths to take with you.
