“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” - Isaiah 41:10

We are getting to celebrate this Christmas with our new baby girl. She is a gift that we spent years praying for. Through our journey to become parents, I was often reminded of God’s presence in a multitude of ways - a friend calling at just the right time, a song, or a piece of scripture that spoke directly to my weary heart, just to name a few.

It is easy to say I have experienced God’s presence through the birth of our daughter. She is a constant reminder of God’s goodness.

I am equally as thankful, though, that I can say I experienced God’s presence in the trials that came before her, too. Isaiah 41:10 reminds us that God is with us and will provide us with strength and peace no matter the circumstance.

As we celebrate this Christmas season with the most perfect gift, I will not stop giving thanks for the joy and peace God’s constant presence brings.
