“For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities - his eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.” – Romans 1:20
It is hard for me to feel alone when I walk on the beach and look out at the endless ocean. Or when I gaze out for miles into a valley surrounded by mountain peaks. The same God that created me created the sea, stars, sky, moon, and sun.
When I look at these things, I know they’ve been there thousands of years before I was born and will be there thousands of years after I’m gone. That thought doesn’t disturb me but brings me comfort. It puts my life and my problems into perspective.
He’s given me free will, but I know that anything everlasting is only by His will. The evidence of His creation is overwhelming, and whatever I do apart from his plan will ultimately be useless.
